Phillippe's Funny Bone Tapped For SNL Flick

Ryan Phillippe has been tapped to co-star in the first movie based off an Saturday Night Live sketch in almost a decade!

Phillippe, as well as Val Kilmer, have been propositioned by Paramount to join the cast of the MacGruber movie, starring SNL‘s Will Forte.

For those familiar with the sketch, Ryan would play Piper, an army officer turned MacGruber’s sidekick to defeat “the evil Cunth” who has obtained a nuclear warhead.

MacGruber, a parody of the cult MacGyver television series, has plans to start filming in New Mexico next month with director Jorma Taccone, one of the MacGruber sketch writers.
