How’s this for a battle of the Brits?!
Host Piers Morgan is clearly not a fan of David Beckham├óΓé¼Γäós soccer skillz… and he doesn├óΓé¼Γäót seem to fancy One Direction, either!
It all started when Piers poked fun at Beckham, in response to a tweet that 1D’s Harry Styles sent out, defending the player!
Piers retorted and retweeted:

Ooh!! Harsh, but all in good fun, right?
Not so much! Sounds like the boys took it to heart, with Louis Tomlinson sticking up for Beckham and backing up Harry!
Louis tweeted and then Piers responded:

The Twitter feud continued, with Piers taking another dig at the boys, tweeting:

Whereas fellow 1D groupmate, Liam Payne, decided to take to Twitter to trend #PiersMorganIsSmelly, which ended up trending worldwide! LOLz!
Niall Horan also joined in, asking:

Ohhhh shiz! Them’s is some fightin’ words! Ha!
Guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens if the boys ever take Piers up on his invite to meet up with him in NYC!!!
