Toddler Mauled To Death By African Painted Dogs At Pittsburgh Zoo

A mother has lost her toddler as a visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo went horribly wrong.
A two year old boy was mauled to death by a pack of African painted dogs after he fell into the dogs’ enclosure.
Zoo workers immediately tried to rescue the tot as all ten dogs attacked the boy as soon as he fell into their exhibit. Staffers managed to scare off seven of the dogs but three remained.
Fellow zoo goers described the 34 year old mother’s piercing screams that could be heard through the zoo and that anyone close to the incident was left in tears.
One of the dogs was shot and killed and the zoo is closed indefinitely while an investigation goes underway.
