Is this the start of Glamour‘s plus size revolution?
Marie Claire has added the “Big Girl In A Skinny World” column written by Ashley Falcon a 5’2 220 pound stylist.
In the article Ashley dishes on the struggles of being plus size woman, when the fashion world continues to promote skinnier than most models, but she hasn’t let that stop her. The size 18 stylist is giving advice to all those women who don’t fit in those size 2 jeans: you can be stylish while being plus size.
And she doesn’t hold back either. Ashley openly admits to going thru a few pairs of jeans each year due to “routinely wearing holes in the area where my thighs rub together”.
We think Ashley Falcon is a great addition to Marie Claire and think other fashion publications should follow their lead, just like Glamour did before.
And from the comments on the column, we aren’t the only one applauding the mag’s addition.
