The Midwest FurFest was this weekend in Chicago, and the furries were out in force.
If you’re unfamiliar, furries are people who love to wear fuzzy fur costumes and role-play as different types of human-like animals.

They all gathered at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare hotel to hang out and be animal friends together… until something awful happened…
A chemical leak was discovered early Sunday morning!
Apparently a broken container with a chlorine-containing chemical was found, so the whole hotel was evacuated, furries and all!!
The leak was “consistent with an intentional act” according to law enforcement, so they’ve opened up a full criminal investigation! So crazy!
19 people ended up going to the hospital complaining of nausea and dizziness.
That’s just so awful! Who would want to mess with the furries like that?? They’re harmless and just trying to have some fun!
The poor furries won’t even get a refund because the Midwest FurFest said the chemical leak was “an unforeseen possibly criminal act.”
We’re just really glad no one was severely injured.
