Former President Jimmy Carter might not wield much political power these days, but when it comes to Georgia he’s still the voice of authority.
So with the great state’s celebrity chef Paula Deen falling on hard times after admitting under oath to using a horrendously offensive word, we weren’t surprised President Carter shared his opinion!
Amongst other things, he says:
“My heart goes out to her, but there’s of course no condoning the use of a word that abuses other people.”
Ch-ch-check out the interview (above)!
We understand the sentiment! It’s hard watching anyone take this much heat, but she brought it on herself with her reprehensible behavior!
There is NO EXCUSE for using the N-word or joking about plantation-themed weddings staffed by African Americans dressed up as slaves. Not ever.
