Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend is launching a new podcast just a few days before his wife Meghan Markle takes her second turn in that realm.
Coincidence?! Or conniving power move?? You be the judge…
So, next Sunday — which is Mother’s Day in the UK, by the way — 36-year-old actress Cressida Bonas will be launching a podcast called Lessons From Our Mothers. You may remember Cressida for dating Prince Harry back in the day between 2012 and 2014. Well, she’s back now! And giving major competition to Meghan!

Bonas is set to co-host the show alongside longtime bestie and half-sister Isabella Branson, who’s married to filmmaker Sam Branson (who, yes, is the son of billionaire Sir Richard Branson). And their pod is all about “a series of conversations that celebrate motherhood and mothering in all its forms,” according to an Instagram reveal Cressida made earlier this week.
Cool, right? Well, sure. But also… Meghan is going to launch her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, over on Lemonada Media on April 8! That’s just eight days after Cressida’s goes to the ‘net. Awkward!
Oh, and not for nothing, but they both have a fairly similar angle, too! Markle is going to explore stories and lessons from women who have founded businesses and done other things in which they had to be in control of big-time responsibilities. Meanwhile, Bonas is planning to interview people like Mary Berry, Princess Eugenie, and even Kate Winslet to learn about the lessons they learned from their mothers — you know, women who had to be in control of big-time responsibilities!
Announcing that plan on IG, Harry’s very well-known ex began by saying:
“We are excited to share something that we’ve been working on for a while… our new podcast, Lessons From Our Mothers, launching on Mothering Sunday 2025! Have you ever stopped to think about the maternal figures in your life and how they have shaped who you are today? Have you ever asked them about their own experiences, or thought about the lessons that you have learned from them?”
She noted the inspiration for the pod came about after her own mother, British socialite Lady Mary-Gaye, got sick last year:
“Lessons From Our Mothers is a series of conversations that celebrate motherhood and mothering in all its forms. When our own mum fell ill last year, we set out to ask her all the questions that we had never thought to ask — and now, we’re on a sisterly mission to find out the stories of some special guests (and their mothers) through this podcast.”

Welp, this sure is one way to get back at Harry for splitting from her over a decade ago — by competing against his wife in the difficult podcast biz!!
Thoughts, y’all?! Share ’em (below)!
