Such a prince! Literally!
Prince Harry was recently at the Invictus Games closing ceremony where he delivered a speech, and then headed on down to watch the Foo Fighters do their thang.
But when he noticed one five-year-old girl named Isabelle Nixon in the crowd crying because she couldn’t see the stage – the princely prince sprung into action!
He picked her up on her shoulders and started dancing so she could see the stage, and her parents were absolutely stunned by the royal move! Stunned yet lovin’ it!
The lil’ lady didn’t even know who was her hero until her momma shouted out, “You’re dancing with Prince Harry!”
Here’s what Isabelle later said about the experience:
“I was completely over the moon. I was chuffed to bits.”
Her poppa Adam Nixon actually turned out to be the captain of Team GB’s wheelchair basketball team, and he was enamored with Prince Harry for being such a good guy to his daughter!
He said:
“Prince Harry had spoken to us at the ceremony, just to say how proud he was of us guys. We were underdogs in the final but we beat the US at their own game. He came up, shook my hand and said: ├óΓé¼╦£You are a legend’ and I asked him for a photo with him and my family. Then later, after his speech, Foo Fighters were on the main stage. He came to listen to the music. He recognized her from earlier in the day and saw she was getting upset because she couldn’t see the band. He approached us and smiled at me and just literally picked her up and just started to dance so she could see the stage. There was no calculation to it. He just recognized her from earlier and lifted her up on his shoulders so she could see. It was a bit of a whirlwind. It was very surreal. When she realized who it was, she was lost for words. She just danced along to the Foo Fighters with him and hasn’t stopped smiling since├óΓé¼┬ªHarry just seems like one of the lads. He is a real credit to himself. It is a lifelong memory [for Isabelle]. She will always remember it.”
And here’s what the mother Taryn had to say:
“Isabelle now says she’s a princess and tells all her friends she danced with ├óΓé¼╦£Uncle Harry.’ He was the perfect gentleman and made everyone’s day, especially Isabelle’s.”
Here’s what the Royal Palace said in a statement:
“Prince Harry was keen to enjoy the closing concert and celebrate the Games with the competitors. The little girl’s father was the captain of the wheelchair basketball team, who Prince Harry met on several occasions throughout the course of the Games.”
Aww!
We LOVE how Prince Harry took charge and just picked up this sad little girl and made her immediately happy!
Talk about some instant gratification!
And the video of it all happening is just priceless! Check it out down (below) !!!
We’re just glad the parents didn’t mistake him for a stranger… LOLz!
