In the wake of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s big decision, Prince William is less concerned about them and more worried about someone else: Queen Elizabeth II.
As we can imagine, the reported five-hour conversation on Monday between the brothers, Her Majesty, and Prince Charles was likely exhausting in one way or another, and all of this has the future King worried about his granny.

A source explained to Us Weekly:
“He’s worried about the Queen’s stress levels too. She’s 93 years old, Prince Philip‘sincredibly sick, and [Prince] Andrew only stepped down a month ago over the [Jeffrey] Epstein scandal … and now this.”
This new report comes just after the brothers co-released a statement in an attempt to shut down rumors about a rift (again) between them:
“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge. For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
Let’s not forget when Harry basically confirmed a feud had occurred just a few months ago, but we digress…
As we previously reported, the father of three was apparently “blindsided” by the surprise announcement and was given no heads up about the matter from his younger bro:
“William was blindsided by Harry and Meghan’s decision and statement. William is incredibly hurt, but at the same time he has his own family to focus on and is trying to move forward with his life. There’s still a rift between them. It’s sad because when they were younger, William would be the first person Harry would go to with big news like this.”
In addition to being frustrated on behalf of the Queen, the 37-year-old is apparently miffed about how this affected another important woman in his life:
“Harry and Meghan rubbed salt into the wounds by making the huge announcement a day before Kate [Middleton]’s birthday. It hasn’t gone down well with William.”
While Meg is bound to be feeling some stress because of everything that’s going on, she has removed herself physically from the situation and is currently in Canada with Archie Harrison while her husband hashes things out with the family.
Per an ET source, it was ultimately decided by the Sussexes that it wasn’t necessary for the 38-year-old to join in on the conversation about her own future. While there had been some speculation that the Suits alum may phone in during the meeting, a judgment call was made that it wasn’t needed.
What a turn!!
