We get it. Joe Paterno is a living legend at Penn State, but that doesn’t mean students need to blindly adore him — especially after he has been connected to a LONG RUNNING sex scandal.
PSU coaches have reportedly asked the student body attending Saturday’s home game against Nebraska to wear white in support of the recently fired coach.
At the same time, there is a movement calling for spectators to wear baby blue to support the alleged sexual assault victims of Jerry Sandusky.
Please. Choose blue.
Paterno’s problems are NOTHING compared to the problems Sandusky caused for almost 20 kids and counting!
The beloved head coach may not be in trouble with the law, however, the fact remains he contributed to covering up one of the biggest scandals in college sports history!
He stood by and watched as higher ranking school officials covered up his defensive coordinator’s crimes against defenseless children. Do U really want to support that kind of behavior?
We’d ask that students put aside their school pride and consider what is surely unthinkable to most — Joe Paterno may not be as innocent as he’d like you to believe!
