The Quaids' Dogs To Be Put To Sleep?

Someone was left behind…
It turns out that when Evi and Randy Quaid were arrested in Canada on an active arrest warrant, their pup, Doji was left behind in the car.
Doji has been put in an animal shelter in Vancouver for the time being, however the rules state that a dog who has been in the pound for over 72 hours becomes city property.
This property then can be dealt with however the city wants, they are allowed to “destroy, or sell by auction or private sale, an impounded dog.”
Animal control said that they make many efforts not to put the dogs to sleep.
This is so sad, the dog should not have to be punished for his owners problems!!
