'Diana Would NEVER!' Queen Camilla BASHED For Taking Photo With J.K. Rowling During Pride Month Amid Harry Potter Author's Transphobic Views!

Queen Camilla BASHED For Taking Photo With J.K. Rowling During Pride Month After Harry Potter Author's Anti-Trans Comments!

What was the royal family thinking? And during Pride Month?

On Tuesday, J.K. Rowling met with Queen Camilla at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh to discuss children’s access to books. The Royal Family’s social media accounts shared a picture of the two standing along with the caption:

“With a shared passion for books and a deep commitment to children reading for pleasure, The Queen and author J.K. Rowling have met at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Her Majesty and Ms Rowling discussed the importance of ensuring that young people have access to books and the vital part reading plays in opening doors for future generations.”

The move from Queen Camilla, of course, sparked controversy. Social media users slammed J.K.’s visit due to the Harry Potter author’s transphobic views! And King Charles‘ wife can’t say she didn’t know! J.K has been making transphobia her entire personality for years now! The timing especially raised eyebrows since the picture happened on the final day of Pride Month! Check out the criticism online (below):

“Diana would NEVER!”

“TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS”

“This is in such bad taste. Anyway. Protect the dolls”

“You do realize she has some pretty disgusting views about transgender people?”

“The Royal Family standing proudly with probably the biggest trans hate preacher in the world. Shows how out of touch the monarchy is.”

“Did you discuss the importance of not being a complete transphobe?”

“If tone deaf was a picture – trans rights are human rights!”

“Wow, what a way to lose your LGBT supporters”

“meeting this most hateful person during PRIDE month??! how about ‘ensuring that young people have access to-‘ gender affirming health care”

“As an admirer of the Queen and her Reading Room I’m deeply disappointed in her giving a platform to JKR, any month but especially during Pride Month. There are many other admirable individuals to spotlight who champion reading for children and young people”

“There are SO many authors in the UK. Why would you select the one who wants to deny young people access to live-saving health care? Why would you select the one who has made it her life mission to erase a vulnerable minority from public existence?”

“This is deplorable! AND During pride month no less. I stand with the LGBTQI+ community”

“there’s a lot of other children’s authors (who have published kids books more recently than 20 years ago) that you could have worked with on this”

“I wonder who in the comms office thought this would be a good idea…”

Seriously! Who thought this was a good idea?
