Prince Harry isn’t the only one impressed by Meghan Markle!

Per an Us Weekly source, Queen Elizabeth is thoroughly “impressed” with her granddaughter-in-law after her second royal tour since joining the family. Plus, she’s liking how Meg’s influence has rubbed off on her grandson!

The insider shared:

“She’s seeing a more mature, responsible side of Harry, and she’s really impressed with how Meghan’s upped her game.”

And for those concerned if this is all a royal show, it’s not! The confidant continued (below):

“This is the real Meghan. It’s not an act. And while she’ll never replace Diana, she’s determined to follow in her footsteps.”

One particularly impressive moment while on the tour was when the former Suits star spoke out about the importance of education and gender equality while paying a visit to the University of Johannesburg.

The Northwestern University graduate recalled to the crowd how “families chipping in” helped finance her own education before her 2003 graduation:

“Families chipping in, scholarship, financially all those things that were the reason that I was able to attend university. But at the same level, you need to have that kind of support on the inside for educators to be able to give as much as they can back to those who are in the educational system.”

During her visit, Miz Markle announced a new series of grants from the Association of Commonwealth Universities, of which she is a royal patron. These new scholarship opportunities allow students to study in different commonwealth countries in an effort to  deepen their educational studies abroad.

The 38-year-old continued (below):

“The goal here is to be able to have gender equality—to be able to support women as they are working in research and higher education roles and also to be able to have workshops to convene things that are really helping people understand the importance of gender equality. True to what you said, when a woman is empowered, it changes absolutely everything in the community and starting an educational atmosphere is really a key point of that.”

Archie Harrison‘s momma acknowledged it can be overwhelming to think about these hot topics, but hopes we will start to see change soon:

“Sometimes access to education can seem so big, you wonder where to even begin? So you begin with one student, or one school, you simply begin. And that’s when we see change.”
