Ickkkk… this sucks.
Since we’re more attached to Rachel McAdams than Michael Sheen in the world of celebrity, we feel totally wretched for her!
Especially now that the reason behind their split has been revealed… and it’s certainly NOT in her favor! Sad face with tear drop.
According to an insider source, the Midnight in Paris lovers split because Michael couldn’t fully commit to Rachel in the way of settling down, saying:
“Rachel wants to settle down and is dreaming of having a family. Michael always seemed content with their relationship. Since he already has a daughter [Lily, 14, with Kate Beckinsale], he feels no need to have more children. He wants to focus on his career.”
Aww, poor Rachie!
Things seem to be cordial (at least on the front), however, with the source also saying:
“They still have some contact and are friendly. They tried to work things out, but at the end they just couldn’t agree. It caused some frustration and they thought it was better to go separate ways.”
Well at least it was a great experience, no?
We’ve heard that some insiders believe the split won’t last, but now it’s sounding more and more like that could very well be the wishes from a particular side of the break-up!
Oh well, Regina! Just take a trip to Disneyland and forge on through it! Who knows… maybe you’ll bump into a different ex there! 😉
