It’s been a long time coming, but the fallout from #RoachGate consumed last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and viewers got a long look at a BIG showdown between NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann!
As you’ll remember from our reporting nearly six months ago, this issue has been brewing for a LONG time, ever since Kim lawyered up after NeNe called her fam “racist” over a disrespectful social media post from Leakes’ house.

Now, looking back on the whole episode and the months-long fallout, NeNe was able to explain on Sunday night what really set her off and made her call Kim — and her daughter Brielle — racists.
Leakes noted it was specifically the term “roaches” that got her going, explaining about Kim (below):
“That word ├óΓé¼╦£roach’ just ain’t the word I needed to hear her saying. It sounds very racial when you are speaking to an African-American person and talk about roaches. Because people feel like you associated that with the ghetto or trash. Black people do not receive that very well. … Do I believe Kim is a racist? Some of the things she has said would definitely make you go, ├óΓé¼╦£Hmmm.'”
And Leakes continued on, asking that last question right as a montage of some, uh, questionable moments from Kim’s past played in the background. Bad timing!!!

Moreover, NeNe continued to stand by her attack against 21-year-old Brielle, who was the first one to invite herself over to NeNe’s house after texting Leakes’ 18-year-old son Brentt.
Leakes said (below):
“I think Brielle is a beautiful girl. I’ve known this girl from growing up. Your kid cannot talk to an adult using fowl language and expect me to say nothing back. They really tried to do something to hurt me or discredit my home or how beautiful my home is. They wanted to discredit that. What she did was to mean and to be vicious and to be hateful. ├óΓé¼┬ª It’s heartbreaking. Why [Kim] couldn’t just come in here and say she’s happy for me? Why she couldn’t just saying, ├óΓé¼╦£I’m happy for you girl. I’m glad that you even accomplished a goal.'”
Well there you go!
But it wasn’t just NeNe struggling with #RoachGate… Kim claimed that not only was she a victim in the mess, too, but that her family has been receiving death threats over the whole issue!
The mother of six shared her side of the story, too, saying to pal Shereé Whitfield (below):
“We’ve had to hire security. I’ve had people come to the gate at my house. She wants to pull the race card. That’s the devil, bitch. She spent so many years trying to sabotage my name and I just let it roll. Now you’re fucking with my kids? ├óΓé¼╦£The whole family is racist, prejudice?’ My whole family? There’s not a racist bone in my body. Not me, my husband, or my children see color. Never have.”
Whoa!!!
