Oh no! This is so sad!
Frank and Louie, the oldest living cat with two faces, has passed away at the age of 15 from cancer.
And while her owner Marty Stevens is devastated, she also knows how much of a blessing it was that the cat survived as long as she did.
The special feline was born with two faces, two noses, two mouths, and three blue eyes.
And even though the cat has passed, her legacy has already been established in 2012 when it became the longest surviving Janus cat in that year’s Guinness World Records.
These types of cats, who usually don’t survive very long, are called Janus cats after the Roman god who had two faces, as well.
Frank and Louie died this past Thursday at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, Massachusetts after the owner noticed the cat had become ill. Veterinarians decided to euthanize the cat after they determined it was suffering from “really bad cancer.”
RIP Frank and Louie. You were really one of a kind!!!
