For anyone who hasn’t seen the 1995 masterpiece Empire Records, Rex Manning is a fictitious former ’80s pop-star.
In the movie, he was heading to Empire Records for an album signing and via a poster briefly glimpsed in one scene, the date was April 8th.
And guess what today’s date is…
Yup, that makes today Rex Manning day!!
