Rihanna just gave Snapchat a textual beatdown over the “mess” of an ad the app ran asking users if they would “rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown.”
The songstress took to rival social app Instagram to shame Snap for putting time and resources “to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to [domestic violence] victims and made a joke of it!!!”

RiRi made sure to note her response was not about her “personal feelings,” but for “all the women, children, and men that have been victims of DV.”
She also called bullshit on the company playing dumb in its apology, which was issued after many users expressed outrage over the insensitive ad for the app’s new game Would You Rather.

“Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain’t my fav app out there! But I’m just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess! I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb! You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to [domestic violence] victims and made a joke of it!!! This isn’t about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them├óΓé¼┬ªbut all the women, children, and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven’t made it out yet├óΓé¼┬ªyou let us know! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-ology away.”
We’d rather not fuck with an app that exploits domestic violence to promote a dumb game.
