Oh, Twitter. You never cease to amaze us.
This time, the crazy social network’s attention is on the lovely Rihanna, who fans think might be pregnant after hearing an interview she gave at Thursday night’s Diamond Ball — drawing all kinds of conclusions. Now, it feels like the entire site is on one as thousands of users jump the gun on the supposedly pregnant pop princess!

So, here’s how it all appears to have started… the beautiful Bahamian was chatting with Essence on the red carpet at last night’s event when she responded to a question with this (below; we’ve put the key passage in bold):
“I’m a black woman. I come from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, and I’m going to give birth to a black woman. And so it doesn’t even — it’s a no-brainer. That’s who I am, it’s a part of who I am, in spirit and in DNA. And I always stand up for what I believe in, who I love, who I know, and who I respect. My mother’s raised me to be an incredible woman, and she’s a strong, incredible example of what to be. I fight through obstacles in life, and I’m sure her mom has also taught her, and that’s how I am going to be. We are impeccable. We are impeccable. We’re special. And the world is going to have to deal with that.”

First off, that is one HELL of a quote!!!! Get it, girl!!!
But also, as you can probably already pick out, can we talk about that “I’m going to give birth to a black woman” line???

We (think we) know she means, like, in the future sometime (…right?) but she says it so matter-of-factly, it’s as if she’s pregnant right now and just ready for it all to happen.
