Fashion savvy model/entrepreneur Heidi Klum has discontinued her jewelry line, The Heidi Klum Collection, after Vans Cleef & Arpels filed a lawsuit against her company for their use of the clover in their designs.
Says Klum,├é┬á”They wanted to have the clover, even though our designs never matched…they just wanted to own the clover motif.├é┬áSo they went after everyone who does that – Louis Vuitton! – they said ‘We own the clover.’…I think when you’re a small company, which we are, we’re not a Van Cleef.├é┬á They have a thousand lawyers.├é┬á I’m a small fry next to that.”
Bummer!
At least the bitch has the Project Runway empire behind her (which will hit the airwaves again August 20!!).
