As you’ll recall, in April, the 29-year-old bravely came out as transgender during a powerful interview with Them. Not long after that, Robert spoke to the New York Post about Airyn’s decision to come out, saying this in reaction to the big news:
“I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter. I don’t know what the big deal is. I love all my children.”
And now, he’s at it again!
When asked about Airyn, the Raging Bull star laid out exactly how and why he supports his daughter on this powerful journey:
“As long as they’re not hurting themselves, doing anything that’s destructive or anything like that, you have to support them. Period.”
Short, sweet, and to the point.
