So, if it wasn’t for the meddling Kristen Stewart, we could’ve had Robert Pattinson tying up Dakota Johnson and getting every Twihard out there in a frenzy as Christian Grey?!
Word on the grapevine is that KStew told R-Patz taking on 50 Shades of Grey would be like, career suicide!
An insider spilled of the conversation:
“Kristen told him 50 Shades would be a disaster for him. He’s haunted by twilight and being too identified with that role, taking 50 Shades would mean a worse label for the rest of his career.
Kristen told him that creatively, he shouldn’t do it, but if it’s about fame and money, he should. She told him he had to make the choice between the two, but warned that it would stick with him.”
Ugh, we guess she’s right. If he does want to build a career away from series and franchises, he should stay away from 50 Shades.
The source added about the decision:
“He pushed it away after Kristen’s advice, even though his manager was very much for it. His family didn’t interfere, but he knew his mum wouldn’t like it either.”
Sigh.
What we would give to see R-Patz in leather with a whip in his hands.
