Robin Gibb Will Be Honored In London With Public Memorial Service

Robin Gibb memorial service
It was so sad to hear that Robin Gibb had passed away, but at least he’s getting a proper memorial.
The Bee Gees singer will be honored at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral in September during a public memorial service.
Three months earlier, however, his body will be laid to rest during a funeral near his home in Thame, Oxfordshire. His spirit will be remembered with music by the Bee Gees and Roy Orbison, along with his favorite hymns Jerusalem and I Vow to Thee My Country.
His son, Robin-John Gibb, has revealed that it was actually liver failure, not cancer, that caused his father’s demise. Gibb underwent a blood transfusion just before his death that gave him 12 more hours to live, as his son explained:

“He wanted to live. The last option was a blood transfusion, which gave him another 12 hours. My father always told us he wanted us to try everything, no matter how futile it may seem ├óΓé¼┬ª We watched him go and told him we loved him.”

Since he loved living so much, we’re happy to see that Robin Gibb’s life will be celebrated by the masses in the fall.
