Living up to the hype!
Ronda Rousey has put her UFC fighting days behind her and has gone all in on a new entertainment venture — WWE. As you surely know, the 31-year-old was slated to make her WWE debut this Sunday, and it sounds like the American athlete exceeded all expectations!

Rousey, who is best known for being a champion mixed martial artist, took on Stephanie McMahon and husband Triple H while at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans for WrestleMania. Thankfully, for her first appearance as an official WWE wrestler, Ronda wasn’t alone amid the fight.
The California native jumped into the ring after legend Kurt Angle tapped her in. This only seems right as, like Rousey, Angle is a former Olympian and has dabbled in mixed martial arts.
Be sure to ch-ch-check out a HIGHlight from their match (below)!

SAVAGE. Ultimately, “Rowdy” Ronda and Kurt were named the victors of the showdown, as Rousey had gotten McMahon to tap out.

And it appears that the WWE community has already become taken with Ronda, as fans flocked to Twitter and shared:

AH-Mazing. Rousey first got her taste for wrestling when she joined Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the ring for WrestleMania 31 in 2015. Clearly, she has a knack for this particular sport.
We’re glad to see that she’s flourishing at WWE, especially since her UFC career didn’t end on a high note. However, Ronda isn’t focusing on the past, as she recently revealed:

“It was me versus the world in an individual sport. I thought I would never say this, but I’m so happy I lost those fights [to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes] because it led me here. This is so worth it.
Everything really does happen for a reason. I’m just so grateful. I thought I never would be [grateful] for [the losses], but time is a great teacher. I’m just really, really glad I gave it time instead of giving up and feeling it was the end of the world. There’s so many people who encounter tragedies who feel like the world and time won’t heal it. But all I can say to those people is: Just give it time, even if you think time can’t heal it. You never know what will happen and where it will lead you. Every missed opportunity is a blessing in disguise. I really believe it now.”

Well said. Keep doing you, girl!
