This can only be a good thing… we hope!
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro revealed this week that he’d actually been in a rehab facility for about the last month, seeking treatment for his alcohol abuse and the surrounding family drama that it’s caused.

The reality TV star left rehab this past Friday, but after a month of treatment at the Florida facility, he told Us Weekly that he’s focused on his daughter Ariana, and intent on doing what’s best for her now (below):
“I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter. Eventually, all the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places that I didn’t want to be. I wanted to be led to the place that I am now – that’s happy, healthy and the best role model for my daughter.”
He also spoke some about alcoholism itself, and the battle that he’s been fighting with it for years now (below):
“I think it’s a chronic disease. It’s a progressive disease. I’m still struggling. You stop and you start up again, and it’s worse than when you stopped. You’re just like, ‘Wow, I thought I had this under control,’ but at the end of the day, it has full control over you.”
Wow. Scary!
Here’s hoping Ronnie keeps taking steps in his recovery, and his mental health and overall well-being continue to improve from here.
It’ll be a long road, but Ariana is worth it!!
