A New York judge decided on Monday ruled in favor of J.K. Rowling.
The Harry Potter author won her claim that a fan violated her copyright with his intentions to publish a “Potter Encyclopedia.”
According to judge Robert Patterson, he said that “Ms. Rowling had proven that Steven Vander Ark’s Harry Potter Lexicon would cause her irreparable harm as a writer.”
Vander Ark will no longer be able to publish his book. He still runs the Harry Potter Lexicon website, though.
Further details about the decision have yet to be released.
