Ruby Franke Final Divorce Deets -- Including Surprising Child Support Agreement!

Ruby Franke Final Divorce Deets -- Including Surprising Child Support Agreement!

Ruby Franke‘s ex-husband Kevin Franke wants NOTHING to do with her!

According to court papers obtained by KSL-TV Utah, Ruby and Kevin finally settled their divorce on March 20. And based on what we’re reading Kevin is making it clear he wants nothing to do with his incarcerated ex. District Judge Roger Griffin signed off on the settlement docs, which state that Kevin will have sole custody of the couple’s four minor children, Abby, Julie, Russell, and Eve (they also share adult children Shari and Chad).

As per a court order, the former 8 Passengers YouTube star — who is in prison for child abuse — has been barred from having any contact with the minors.

So, what’s surprising about this? Well, there’s the matter of child support. Usually when one parent gets full custody, they get child support from the other. But Kevin agreed to “consider any child support payments owed to him by Ruby Franke already paid.” He doesn’t want to rely on her for anything! Or maybe to ever even see her again!

That said, he’s making out with most of their assets. He will get to keep the couple’s home in Springville, Utah, as well as a 2.8 acre-property in Scofield, Carbon County. Ruby has been allowed to keep about $85,000, which she withdrew from accounts after their initial separation in 2022, but all other financial assets in her name — minus an investment account — will be given to Kevin. Neither of them requested additional alimony, and Ruby expressed intentions to keep her last name rather than switch back to her maiden name. Right, of course, why wouldn’t she want to continue to be known by the name she tarnished…

As Perezcious readers know, the exes first split in September 2022, but Kevin didn’t file for divorce until December 2023 — three months after Ruby and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt were arrested for child abuse for crimes committed on the kids. For her crimes, Ruby was sentenced to between four and 60 years in prison.

In February, Kevin told People that the last time he heard from Ruby was via a letter from prison “maybe in March or April of last year.” At that time, he “requested the Department of Corrections to ask her to stop writing me.” He explained:

“I didn’t want to hear anymore. I didn’t like what she was saying. It just didn’t feel right and it didn’t feel good.”

Guess it’s not too surprising he doesn’t even want child support. He doesn’t want any ties to her!

We hope with custody sorted out, the family can get settled in a new normal and move on from their dark past.
