Ruby Rose isn’t just dealing with her Katy Perry sexual assault allegations these days. She’s also suffering the aftermath from a painful fall that landed her in the hospital this week!
On Monday, the 40-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories to reveal she broke “multiple” ribs after falling into a pool. She posted footage from the accident, which shows her holding a hose but taking a few steps, missing the edge of her pool and slamming into a wall before going into the water. Ruby captioned the video:
“That’s your girl! RIP to my ribs, and the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple.
Straight to hospital, did not pass go or collect $200.”

“One second I’m here talking to you. Next, I’m in the hospital with two broken ribs. What a bloody Monday.”

Later that same day, Ruby questioned how she ever returned to filming Batwoman a day after breaking her rib and neck because she is in so much pain with two broken ribs right now! She wrote:
“I’m sorry, but what in the f**king dissociation and self abandonment did I do, to return to work on batwoman, the day after breaking my rib and neck? My rib was killing me!! I couldnt feel my legs or hands, I was in a batsuit! I’ve just broken two ribs, falling into my own pool backwards,
and you couldn’t pay me to put a bra on, let alone stand up.”
As you may recall, Ruby suffered two herniated discs after performing stunts on the CW show. She said at the time that her spinal cord came close to being severed, so she had to undergo emergency surgery or risk becoming paralyzed. Ten days later, Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman Peter Roth allegedly forced her to continue filming Batwoman. Yikes! It’s wild to think Ruby went on to work following such a serious injury! Fortunately, this time, it sounds like she can get as much rest as she needs to recover from her broken ribs! The Meg star went on to ask fans:
“Send good book and show recommendations this is going to take many weeks
“
