Did Russell Armstrong Really Beat Taylor Before He Died?

Vicious rumor or scandalous development? Honestly, we don’t know what to believe anymore.

It’s not secret at this point that Russell Armstrong, the Real Housewives star that committed suicide last week, had a dark history of being an abusive man. His wife, Taylor Armstrong, shortly before his death, came forward to insist that Russell was extremely violent and had beaten her on more that one occasion. Now, sources are claiming Russell’s final act on this Earth was beating Taylor and leaving her in tears over their crumbling marriage.

According to Star Magazine, the night before Russell hung himself, he was with Taylor at her home. He allegedly got very upset with her when she brought up their dismal financial state and questioned his plans to make things better for their family. That’s when Russell supposedly exploded and became physically violent towards Taylor. After he beat her, he left the house in a huff, leaving Taylor terrified and broken. A friend of the Housewives star said Taylor called her shortly after that, crying and “hysterically,” claiming that Russell had punched her in the face. The friend explains that she was “terrified.”

We’re terrified for her. Either these allegations are not true and when she’s ready, she’s going to have the hard task of dismissing every claim made about him – or they are true. If they are true, what a hard road she has ahead of her. We can’t imagine what she is feeling or how she is dealing. How does she come to terms with losing someone in her life this way? How does she grieve?

We just hope she stays strong for her daughter and finds from peace with all this. It won’t be easy, but we want it for her.
