Sounds like Russell Armstrong was having a really tough couple of weeks.
As we reported earlier, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong was found dead last night after hanging himself. His lawyer has come forward in defense of his client, painting a picture of man who truly was at his wits end.
Fans of the show are aware that Taylor made some strong accusations against Russell a few weeks back when she filed for a divorce. She claimed he was physically abusive to her, shoving her around and beating her in the face, and she finally threw him out when his financial problems elevated the tension in their home.
According to Russell’s lawyer Ronald Richards, Russell was intensely “bummed out” over the divorce, more so than the $1 and $10 million debt he was in. Richards explains:
“I feel bad because his credit cards weren’t working … He had tremendous financial problems … He was also extremely bummed out about the divorce with Taylor. As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don’t have any assets, so I’m not sure what there would be left to leave. I am extremely saddened … I had no idea he was depressed.”
Seems like no one knew how deeply this guy’s pain ran.
We don’t condone his previous violent acts against Taylor, but we certainly don’t believe it warranted him taking such a violent step against himself either.
Very sad.
