Russell Brand Shouts Gay Slurs At College Students, Leading Him To Obvious Segue About Running For Prime Minister!

Usually politicians wait until they’re actually in office before creating a scandal like this!
Nevertheless, Russell Brand, who was talking like a potential Prime Minister candidate one minute but running his mouth the next, is once again in some hot water!
The comedian and former hubby of Katy Perry was speaking at prestigious Cambridge University last night to a crowd of more than 1,300. The evening was all just a jolly good time at first – Russell even brought up Harry Styles!
But then Brand shouted out an anti-gay slur at the audience!
Russell reportedly called a group of students, “Harry Potter p**fs” and then told them to “shut up.”
The outburst was met with cheers and laughter by most of the crowd. But a Cambridge Student Union LGBT rep Charlie Bell commented in the school’s newspaper that he hardly found what Russell said funny.
Bell said:

“It was a bit of a shock to hear that the word p**f is considered an appropriate term to level as an insult, especially by someone like Brand, who models himself as the very model of a modern liberal. He should apologise unreservedly and immediately.├óΓé¼┬¥

We’re shocked that Mr. Brand would say something so politically incorrect at an event dedicated to his new political mission!
The 38-year-old also spoke to his young fans about how they can change the world for the better! Russell explained:

“Revolution is coming. It’s happening instantaneously. It’s happening now! It has to be peaceful – occasionally I get into all that violent sh*t and the romanticisation of revolution because I hate the power structure but that just wouldn’t work. We need to make it sexy, make it fun, make it enjoyable, make it a part of your identity.├óΓé¼┬¥

Surely a part of your peaceful revolution must include nondiscrimination for the LGBT community, right Russell?
We get that you’re a comedian and comedians often times tell jokes that can be viewed as offensive to certain people. But we think you took this talk to a place it SO didn’t need to go!
Later Brand was asked if he indeed would ever consider running for Prime Minister or any other political position. He answered:

“├óΓé¼┼ôWhy do I have to run? I├óΓé¼Γäóll saunter to office. Let├óΓé¼Γäós see shall we.”

Well, let the revolution begin! But let’s not use gay slurs in the process. K? Thx!
