Ouch!
In light of Katy Perry and Russell Brand‘s divorce, the honchos behind the upcoming People’s Choice Awards have decided to uninvite the comedian from the ceremony, as his soon-to-be-ex is up for seven of the awards!
An insider explains:
‘It will be Katy├óΓé¼Γäós big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event. It was always going to be awkward for organizers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list.’
We can certainly understand the reasoning behind the decision, but it certainly doesn’t make what’s happening any less obvious to everyone – OR awkward!
Here’s hoping that time will heal these wounds and decisions like these won’t have to be made at future events at which they might cross paths!
