Saoirse Ronan has apparently had some trouble throughout her life with people mispronouncing her name.
But as much as we’re thankful for Ryan Gosling existing, the Brooklyn star is even more so because he helped EVERYONE start pronouncing the starlet’s name correctly!

On Saturday, at the 2016 Springs International Film Festival Gala, the 21-year-old praised Gosling for starting the trend of people pronouncing her name right.
The blonde beauty revealed back in November, Ryan presented her with New Hollywood Award at the Hollywood Film Awards and during his presentation, he not only got her name right, but made sure everyone else would remember how to pronounce her name when he said:

“It’s Ser-sha, like inertia.”

Ronan went on to reveal a story about how Gosling’s advice has helped people pronounce her traditional Gaelic handle:

“Someone sent me a photo two weeks later of a cinema in Minnesota, and on the sign in the front it said “Brooklyn” and then underneath it said, ‘Ser-sha, Like Inertia’. I couldn’t believe it! They actually put it on the front of the cinema, so the power of Ryan Gosling is stronger than anything else.”
