It’s a good time to be Ryan Reynolds.
In 2016 alone, the A-lister was named Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainer of the Year AND was selected as one of GQ‘s Men of the Year. However, it seems the proudest moment for Reynolds was when he and his wife Blake Lively welcomed their second daughter into the world.

So it’s no wonder the Deadpool actor couldn’t help but gush about his infant and his oldest James while at GQ‘s MOTY event. On whether his big year has gotten him “cool points” at home, the Hollywood hottie quipped to Entertainment Tonight:
“I get more cool points at home for like, you know, changing a diaper or something like that, but yeah this is, this doesn’t suck. [It] doesn’t suck, standing up there next to Warren Beatty doesn’t suck.”
Fair, fair! As you may recall, Ryan and Blake welcomed their latest little one back in September — and it seems as though their older girl not only has a mini-me, but has taken to her baby sis too. Reynolds continued:
“Well, they look alike. You can see that she’s sort of a little mini version of our older girl. But, no, it’s great. It’s like an actually cohesive, working, functioning family. It’s amazing to see my older daughter taking care of my younger one. The Lion King was right! The circle of life exists.”
So sweet! And although the Reynolds-Lively fam is known for being particularly private, the Gossip Girl alum’s man commented on Blake’s goal to “fit into” her pre-baby jeans as he noted:
“I don’t know of what you speak with this ‘getting back in shape.’ She looks fantastic! So I don’t know. It’s like, yeah, whatever we do to stay healthy is what we do. It’s great!”
Swoon! If Ryan keeps up this gush-worthy behavior, we have a feeling his 2017 will be even better than his 2016.
