Ryan Reynolds Seemingly Shades Justin Baldoni In New Interview Amid Lawsuit Wins!

Ryan Reynolds is getting shady.

The Deadpool star sat down for an interview with TIME100 Companies published on Thursday and seemingly made a dig at Justin Baldoni as tides change in the Blake Lively It Ends with Us lawsuit. If you haven’t been following along, Justin announced the shocking decision he would not be refiling amended claims in his $400 million defamation countersuit against the power couple after Judge Lewis Liman dismissed his case. If Blake wasn’t doing a victory lap before, she sure as hell probably is now…

While discussing his many business ventures with the outlet and how headlines can affect his brand, Ryan dished:

“Accessibility and accountability are a big part of how I do things. The people that I work with know me, so there’s never a question of anything like that. If you operate with some degree of core values and integrity, they’re going to help you up. If you’re an a**hole, they’re not. And that’s pretty simple.”

Yikes!

The Canadian actor went on to declare that the ongoing legal drama — and the public’s opinion of it — is actually “meaningless” to him:

“I can read something that says, ‘He should be drawn and quartered.’ I could read something that says I should win a Nobel Prize. Both are meaningless. None of us are comprised of our best moments. None of us are defined by our worst moments. We are something in the middle.”

Way to point fingers without actually pointing fingers… Ha!

While public favor isn’t necessarily on either side of the lawsuit, Justin has suffered multiple career blows. In the aftermath of the suit, the Five Feet Apart director has reportedly lost out on film opportunities and his former Man Enough podcast co-host Liz Plank announced in December she was stepping away from the production amid Justin’s legal issues. The podcast itself hasn’t even dropped a new episode since October! And now with Judge Liman dismissing his case, Ryan’s words are sharper than ever before.
