Sam Asghari is speaking out about ex-wife Britney Spears‘ DUI!
As we previously reported, the 44-year-old pop star was arrested for driving under the influence in California on Wednesday night after authorities claimed she was speeding and swerving in and out of lanes on the freeway. The California Highway Patrol later told TMZ that Britney was taken into custody for “driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol.” Sources previously claimed cops found an “unknown substance” in her car when she got pulled over, and tests were administered to determine what it was, though the results are still pending at this time.

Her manager, Cade Hudson, first spoke out after the arrest, saying he is hopeful “this can be the first step in long overdue change” in her life. Now Britney’s ex-husband has broken his silence on the unfortunate situation.
Sam appeared on Fox & Friends on Friday to talk about the United States’ ongoing attacks in Iran. However, toward the end of the interview, the host slipped in a question about Britney’s DUI arrest. The fitness instructor was hesitant to say much, noting that he has been focused on the conflict overseas. However, he urged everyone to give the Circus singer “privacy” during this time. He said:
“Yes, my full attention has gone towards Iran at the moment and, you know, when it comes to people making mistakes, I understand that, but I think everybody deserves privacy and I hope that the press has learned from the past [and] they give her the privacy that she needs.”
