Grey’s Anatomy Star Sara Ramirez Is Here To Educate ABC & The Real O’Neals On Biphobia -- Read Her Slamming Words!

Sara Ramirez isn’t here for biphobia!!
On Thursday, the former Grey’s Anatomy actress used her voice on Twitter to slam a recent episode of ABC‘s The Real O’Neals, which featured a joke about bisexuals.

The January 17 episode had Noah Galvin, who plays openly gay character Kenny O’Neal, share being bisexual is worse than having “webbed toes” or “money problems.”
Sara, who came out as bisexual in October, called out the show for the offensive joke, linking to a petition calling for an end to biphobia on The Real O’Neals! She wrote:

PFLAG released a statement on the offensive joke last month, with director of communications Liz Owen saying:

“We were so focused on the family acceptance portion of the episode that we completely missed the joke. We were really proud on partnering on the episode. It blew by as a teen looking for acceptance from his family. In hindsight, we should have caught it and we blew it. We should have done better and we will definitely do better next time. As allies we have a responsibility to own it when we mess up.”
