Ex-Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleader Wins Big Bucks In Defamation Case!

ex nfl cheerleader wins defamation case

It looks like Sarah Jones might be able to buy her fiancé Cody York that car after all!

The former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader had previously filed a $11 million lawsuit against thedirty.com founder Nik Richie after he posted articles to his website claiming she had sex with multiple football players and called her a child molester for her controversial relationship with her now of-age fiancé!

At the end of the day, Sarah got the last laugh as the jury found two of the articles to be false and said he was “reckless” to post the articles as anonymous. However, she was only awarded $338,000 which is nowhere near how much she was asking for!

Nik’s attorney David Gingras admits that they weren’t too surprised with the judges verdict, saying:

“You can├óΓé¼Γäót be that surprised if you knew anything about the judge. Our judge was an elderly, old decrepit gentleman appointed by President Jimmy Carter in the 1907s and he├óΓé¼Γäós been around a long time. He steered the case that this day was inevitable. A jury has to make a decision based on instructions from the judge and if those instructions are not correct the outcome is not correct and that is what happened here. The judge just completely disregarded the law that protects websites. He said that law doesn├óΓé¼Γäót apply here. That├óΓé¼Γäós like saying water isn├óΓé¼Γäót wet. The judge used his power to punish Nik.”

He also said that Sarah used her charm to win over the jury, which gave her an advantage over the founder of the polarizing website.

Something tells us this isn’t even close to being over, as David says they plan on appealing the case to the 6th Circuit US Court of Appeal and hope to be back in action soon!

In the meantime, it looks like Sarah and Cody have a little extra cash to spend on their wedding now!
