Savannah Guthrie Says She Heard The 'Voice' Of 'God' Tell Her 'You Do Know Where' Mom Nancy Is Amid Disappearance

Savannah Guthrie said she got a message from a higher power after her mother disappeared.

While having an emotional conversation with Hoda Kotb on Today, Savannah opened up about her mom Nancy‘s disappearance. As you know, it’s been two months since the 84-year-old was kidnapped and we’ve gotten no closer to getting answers. It’s been devastating to see Savannah and her loved ones suffer so much and not have any sort of closure or explanation.

On Thursday, the daytime TV host shared a powerful story with Hoda, in which she revealed God spoke to her during one of her most vulnerable moments. She said of her faith:

“My faith is strong and resolute, but I – early on, felt that I heard for one of the very few times in my life – I heard God speak to me as I said to myself, ‘I can handle anything, God, I can handle anything. I just can’t handle not knowing. We can’t handle not knowing. I have to know’.”

So, so sad. Savannah got an answer, though.

She said God replied to her and told her she does know exactly where Nancy is:

“And I heard a voice, and it said, ‘You do know where she is. She’s with Me. She’s with Me’. So whether she’s on this Earth still or whether she’s in Heaven, I know where she is. I know who she’s with, but we need to know.”

How beautiful… Even though it’s so hard for her to continue to not know where her mom actually is, we hope this provided her with a little comfort.

In another part of the tearful interview, Savannah talked about the ransom notes that were sent for her mother back in February. Hoda asked if she believed they were real, to which Savannah said:

“There are a lot of different notes that came. I think most of them, it’s my understanding, are not real … But I believe the two notes we received that we responded to … I tend to believe those are real.”

What’s strange about this, is the Guthries were ready to pay these ransoms. They even offered a million dollars for any information on what could’ve happened to Nancy. But even with their willingness, TMZ reports that the money was never paid to the ransom. It’s not clear if they decided not to or what actually happened, but we do know law enforcement has previously warned against paying ransoms for various reasons.

Such a devastating situation. We continue to send all our love to Savannah and the rest of Nancy’s love ones. We’re still hoping for her safe return.
