Frank Sinatra‘s youngest daughter, Tina Sinatra, likes talking to the media.
During a recent interview, she just revealed who will be directing the new Universal biopic on her dad. At first she only hinted that the movie would be directed by “the most prominent Italian-American filmmaker” in Hollywood.
And after a few guesses, she finally confirmed it would be Martin Scorsese.
As for the flick, Sinatra claims it won’t be a gangster picture. Instead it’ll show him in a better light. Says Tina “I don’t want him to be driving the getaway car. That would not be fair. But I trust him (Scorsese) implicitly.”
According to trade reports, however, Scorsese is said to be in the final negotiations, yet his involvement hasn’t been confirmed.
Considering that Scorsese has done several celebrity biopics already, like on Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, he seems like a great fit.
Let’s hope the Sinatra flick isn’t a bomb!
