Scotland To Legalize Same-Sex Marriage

Scotland legalizes gay marriage
BOO YAH!
Equality is taking the world by storm and Scotland is the most recent country to announce a commitment to legalizing same-sex marriage.
Although the new law won’t go in affect until 2015, we’re so very happy to hear deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon say:

“We are committed to a Scotland that is fair and equal and that is why we intend to proceed with plans to allow same-sex marriage and religious ceremonies for civil partnerships. We believe that this is the right thing to do.”

Despite huffing and puffing from the Catholic Church and the Church of Scotland, the country will be the first in the United Kingdom to put this debate behind them and do the right thing.
The Scottish government isn’t trying to trample religious beliefs to. To protect religious groups opposed to treating every human being as equals, the new law will come with provisions that don’t force anyone to participate that doesn’t want to.
Can’t wait for the USA to get hit with some of this common sense too!
No matter how much the conservative opposition likes to pretend gay marriages means the end of the world, same-sex couples getting married won’t make a dent in ANYBODY ELSE’S lifestyle.
