MomTok did not survive Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen‘s domestic violence scandal! At least not when it comes to Season 5!
People reported on Thursday that filming for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives resumed after the show went on hiatus over the past two months due to the dispute between the former couple. However, a source has now revealed the cast are only filming confessionals – and that is it! There are no new scenes for this season, meaning we won’t see the fallout from the Taylor, Mikayla Matthews, and Mayci Neeley drama for now! Or even Jessi Draper‘s love life updates!

Instead, the insider claimed the upcoming fifth season will have only five episodes, which the group taped before cameras went down in March! But don’t think this is the end of the Mormon Wives! According to the source, the cast is filming for Season 6:
“Right now, they’re just filming confessionals for season 5. They’ve decided they’re not going to film the rest of season 5, but apparently they’re still going to film season 6.”
Following the heavy stuff between Taylor and Dakota, perhaps they wanted to move on from Season 5 as quickly as possible and start fresh with the next one!
Although fans won’t get a lot from the OGs next season, at least you can look forward to a whole season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County. Producer Jeff Jenkins also told Variety on Thursday that he has three more Mormon Wives spinoffs in the works! Wow! So, we won’t be hurting for content!
