The Chappell Roan harassment saga continues — this time, the security guard himself is weighing in.
As we’ve been following, the Red Wine Supernova singer was called out by pro soccer player Jorginho Frello over the weekend after an incident with his stepdaughter Ada Law and wife Catherine Harding.
He claimed his family members were staying at the same hotel as Chappell in São Paulo, Brazil ahead of Lollapalooza. During breakfast one morning, the mother-daughter duo spotted the pop star and 11-year-old Ada, whom Catherine shares with ex Jude Law, walked by her table to get a better look. And when she returned to her own table, a security guard approached the pair and scolded them about harassment and respect.

Jorginho condemned Chappell HARD over the matter, prompting a video response from the Pink Pony Club artist. She said she never saw or was approached by a mother and daughter and claimed the guard was not actually a member of her personal security detail. The 28-year-old also assured followers she did NOT instruct anyone to confront the pair, and apologized for their experience:
“I’m sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.”

After Chappell’s response, Catherine addressed the situation on Instagram, casting doubt over Chappell’s claims that the guard was not a member of her personal security:
“Did she send him to do it? Again, I don’t know, Look, I would like to hope not, but at the same time, I think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work for you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf. So would he do that if he didn’t have that authority to do so? I don’t know. If he does then obviously that’s a big problem because then he’s representing her in a way she doesn’t want to be represented.”

On Tuesday, a rep for the Good Luck, Babe! singer issued a statement denouncing “any kind of aggressive behavior.”
“Chappell was not aware of any interaction between this mother/daughter and a third-party security office. She did not see them at breakfast in her hotel, as she said in her video. She did not direct her personal security or anyone on her team to interact with them. Chappell holds her own teams to the highest standards and has zero tolerance for any kind of aggressive behavior towards her or her fans.”
Such a mess! But the security guard in question has now been identified — and he’s speaking out.
On Wednesday, Pascal Duvier took to Instagram to share a lengthy statement addressing the drama:
“I do not normally address online rumors, but the accusations currently circulating are false and constitute defamation.”
He went on to confirm he does not, in fact, work for Chappell, and he took “full responsibility” for the interaction with Catherine and Ada, which has turned VERY sour in the media:
“I take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan. The actions I took were not on behalf of Chappell Roan, her personal security team, her management, or any other individuals. I made a judgment call based on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location. My sole interaction with the mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful.”

So there you have it! Confirmation Chappell did NOT order the interaction! But as one sour situation comes to a close, another is now being re-examined in Pascal’s past.
Years ago, the security guard actually worked for none other than Kim Kardashian — but was fired in 2016 after a traumatic incident: her Paris robbery!
On Tuesday, sources relayed the history to DailyMail.com, claiming he was in charge of the Kardashian sisters’ security the night Kim was robbed. At the time, he was with the SKIMS founder’s sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner at a nightclub while Kim was alone in her hotel room, where the robbery ultimately occurred.
Pascal and his companies Protect Security and Balali Investments Inc. were later sued by Kim’s insurance company. The $6.1 million suit was settled in 2020.
