After the two were spotted arm in arm at popular El Lay restaurant Osteria Mozza with friends, romance rumors reignited once more for the two.

However, despite their recent group hang and potential fling in the past, a source spilled to E! News the two are just friends:
“Selena and Niall are not dating and have been hanging out as friends. They have always been good friends and have kept in touch throughout the years.”
Furthermore, the insider hinted we could possibly be getting a musical collaboration from them down the road:
“They both always have been very supportive of each other’s music and have talked about collaborating before.”
The Ireland native recently released a new tune Nice To Meet Ya, and the Disney Channel alum was quick to show support for her pal via Instagram Story on Friday:
We already know new music is in the works from Miz Gomez, but one thing which doesn’t seem to be top of mind is a relationship:
“Selena has truly had a transformative year. She feels more stable and healthy than she has in the last couple of years and has been on a great path. Her overall health has increased tremendously. She has a new approach to every aspect of her life and wants to maintain a low-key lifestyle. She is focused on her health, family, friends and putting out new music.”
So, when can we expect her new music, which was recently teased by BFF Francia Raisa, to make its way to Selenators? Sooner than you’d think! The source continued, sharing:
“She has been working in the studio and putting a lot of effort into putting out new music, which she hopes to be out in the early new year.”
Can’t wait!!
Other than singing, the 27-year-old is ultimately focusing on herself right now:
“She has a really good group of friends that she hangs out with regularly and loves to do low-key activities like an early dinner, hang out at home or hang outside in her backyard chatting. Selena really enjoys staying out of the spotlight and focusing on what matters most. She has a more positive attitude towards life and doesn’t sweat the small stuff like she would have in the past.”
