There’s nothing but love between Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa!
ICYMI, rumors of a rift between the two began to circulate in August, shocking and saddening many because Raisa donated a kidney to her bestie in 2017 amid the latter’s battle against lupus.

ET caught up with The Secret Life of the American Teenager alum at WWE SmackDown‘s 20th anniversary celebration, who opened up about the decision she and her friend made:
“It was a decision that was very faith-based and… she and I have talked about before. It just kinda happened coincidentally, but I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe that that’s God’s way of remaining anonymous. I’m very grateful for the opportunity.”
And if there was still any doubt the two were in contact as of lately, the 31-year-old spilled she has heard some of Miz Gomez’s highly-anticipated new music, and the new tracks had her “shaking my ass a lot.”
While it’s unclear if the longtime pals did in fact have a falling out, we’re glad things seem to be all good now!
In August, an insider close to the situation shared with Radar Online the bestiez hadn’t been on speaking terms for nine months, commenting:
“They haven’t talked at all since October [2018].”
Allegedly, the Taki Taki singer didn’t make good on promises to Francia or doctors, and engaged in dangerous behavior with alcohol, which could have jeopardized her health following the transplant:
“Selena did the exact opposite of what she said she was going to do when she got well again. She said she was not going to drink anymore, but she did.”
Per the source, the Grown-ish star apparently called out Miz Gomez, which is when things turned sour between them:
“She cares about her and she loves her. She told her that she was just really making some unhealthy choices and that she was concerned for her.”
Both ladies were transparent about how rough the post-op recovery process was, which according to the confidant seemed to make them only more resentful when things came to a head:
“Selena is in a better place now than she was back then, obviously. But because of everything that they’ve been through together, Selena doesn’t know if she can ever really be a part of Francia’s life again.”
We’re so glad things seem to be back to normal now!!
