Selena Gomez is clapping back after a Republican politician called for her deportation.
On Monday, the Emilia Pérez star posted a raw and emotional video sobbing over the mass deportation of undocumented Mexican immigrants under Donald Trump’s presidency. She quickly deleted it after receiving a wave of criticism — some of which came from 2018 Republican Senate candidate Sam Parker.
Selena Gomez shares emotional Instagram Story about the deportation of Mexican people:
“All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.” pic.twitter.com/il8pPXYZma

On X (Twitter) on Monday, he launched a series of Selena Gomez hate posts starting with one claiming she “picked illegals over America” as the descendant of Mexican immigrants herself. He wrote:
“Selena Gomez picked illegals over America b/c she’s the 3rd gen descendent of Mexican illegals who received citizenship in the ’87 Amnesty. She has an entitlement attitude toward America, like her illegal g’parents.”

He concluded the post:
“Maybe Selena should be deported, too?”
The politician included screenshots from an LA Times interview in which Selena opened up about her Mexican heritage. See (below):

So icky. And he doubled down! Shortly after on his official @SamParkerSenate account, he reposted the message from his personal account and wrote:
“Deport Selena Gomez.”
Deport Selena Gomez. https://t.co/QkkDIBWBKD

Seriously so much hate. All over the Only Murders in the Building actress showing empathy for those being ripped away from their families. WTF is wrong with people?! But she wasn’t about to lay belly up.
After seeing Sam’s posts, she took to her Instagram Story to fire back. She wrote:
“Oh Mr. Parker, Mr. Parker. Thanks for the laugh and the threat.”
See (below):
Selena, of course, is an American citizen and cannot be deported. But we guess facts don’t matter when racism, hatred, and bigotry take office!
What are your reactions to this interaction??
