Selena Gomez Reveals This Taylor Swift Song Is About Her!

One of the biggest Swiftie theories about Evermore was just confirmed!

The 2020 album ended up becoming one of Taylor Swift‘s most iconic pieces of work for so many reasons, and in the years following fans did their digging to find out who these songs might be about! With Marjorie being confirmed to be about Mz. Swift’s grandma, and The Last Great American Dynasty being about socialite Rebekah Harkness — fans wanted to know who Dorothea was about, too!

Immediately upon the first listen of Dorothea, it’s no surprise why lots of Swifties assumed it was about her bestie Selena Gomez.

And now, nearly six years after the album’s release — Selly G is confirming it herself!

On Tuesday’s episode of her hubby Benny Blanco‘s podcast, she said:

“Well, Dorothea is about me, one of her songs. And I feel like a lot of moments—huge moments that were self-defining from relationships to family, to love, to hate, all of it in between, we were figuring it out because I was 15 and she was 18, and we didn’t really know what was going on. And so we’ve never seen each other any differently. So when I listen to it, I’m so impressed how it’s eloquently put.”
