Jason Sudeikis is a single man nearly six years after his breakup from ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde, and the thought of getting into a new relationship right now? It’s incredibly overwhelming to him!
During an appearance on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast on Tuesday, the 50-year-old actor confirmed he is not dating anyone at the moment, which has its “ups and downs” at times. Kristin Batalucco, who is the wife of her co-host Lil Dicky, then asked if Jason is “more of a relationship guy,” to which he replied it is “daunting” to him to date someone, especially multiple people at the same time:
“I like being in relation to people. I’m not at a point in my life where it feels good or fulfilling to date numerous people all at once. That feels daunting and overwhelming, especially with being a parent.”

Because the Ted Lasso star has two kids, 12-year-old son Otis and 9-year-old daughter Daisy, whom he shares with Olivia, his girlfriends need to understand that they come first no matter what:
“There’s also a new thing of anyone I’m dating, that they are never number one on the call sheet, as the showbiz saying would go. The kids are. Even probably more so than myself. Then there’s that little bit as you get older, you’re like, ‘Oh God, I gotta make sure my cup’s full in order for other people to get the overflow.'”
Hopefully, whoever Jason ends up with can understand the children are his top priority!
When asked by Benny Blanco, Jason went on to reveal he “would” have more kids one day — but only “if I fell in love.” A note to all his future partners! But ultimately, he loves being a dad to the two kiddos he already has! The comedian shared that he is a strict-“ish” father when it comes to “manners and stuff and saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you.'” OK, having manners is so important! And what else? Jason thinks the little ones are following in his footsteps with their sense of humor! He gushed:
“Oh my gosh, they’re so funny. They’re getting funnier and funnier as they go. Daisy’s been funny from jump.”
Whoever Jason dates next, they’ll apparently be entering into a family full of well-mannered comedians! LOLz! Watch the podcast episode (below):
