Seems like everyone lately is getting the chance to work with their favorite late great artists!
Selena Gomez, named after the Latin star Selena, recently got to record with the late singer on her tribute album, Enamorada De Ti!
Gomez joined the Queen of Tejano on one of her biggest and most famous hits, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, on the album released earlier this month!!!
Take a listen to the AHmazing duet (above)!!!!
What an honor!
Selenita spoke on recording the duet recently, revealing:
├óΓé¼┼ôWhen I went into the studio to record they actually had her vocals in the booth that she was in, so I felt like she was singing right next to me. It gave me chills! It was incredible and it was a great experience and it was a great song.”
Though sadly, Gomez and Selena Quintanilla never actually got to work together (Selena was tragically murdered in 1995, Gomez was born in ├óΓé¼╦£92), Selenita is getting praise for the duet by one of the late singer├óΓé¼Γäós closest relatives — her brother.
A.B. Quintanilla said:
“She did an amazing job. I had the opportunity to talk to her, we did some awards together and I had never met her before in person. And I took the opportunity to go say hello to her. And I want to thank her for coming onto the album.”
The late superstar’s brother also expressed in a recent interview that he would love to work with Gomez on her Spanish album, which she is currently planning on recording!
How exciting!!!
We can’t wait for Selenita’s Spanish album and are SO happy that she got to be involved in honoring the legacy of the Latin sensation.
We miss you, Selena…siempre!
