Wow! Guess we know whose side the kids are taking?
According to Shakira, her boys are very much on #TeamMommy! As part of her interview with Enrique Acevedo on En Punto on Monday, the Hips Don’t Lie singer spoke about the aftermath of her split from soccer star Gerard Piqué. And that includes dropping diss tracks about how he allegedly cheated on her with a 23-year-old named Clara Chia Marti.

Speaking about how releasing the savage single BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53 gave her strength, she explained:
“I think I would be in a very different place if I had not made that song, [to have] the chance to express myself, to think about pain.”
She said just recording the track, a first-time collab with Bizarrap, gave her such life:
“I think someone had to take a photo of the day I worked on Session 53 with Bizarrap, a before and after. I entered the studio in one way and left in another. This is one of the things that I am most grateful to Biza, for giving me that space, that opportunity to vent. It was a great relief, also necessary for my own healing, for my own recovery process.”
Innerestingly, the idea for the collab with Biza — which would eventually become this fiery diss track — came from Gerard’s own son! Shakira revealed:
“It was a suggestion from Milan!”
WHA?! She elaborated:
“Milan told me, ‘Mommy, you have to do something with Bizarrap… he’s the Argentine god!'”
We wonder if the revenge song heard ’round the world was what the 10-year-old had in mind! Probably not…
But hey, it helped Momma out of her funk, right? Gotta be happy with that result!
